Jason Paling, a native of Nashua, New York, tells the Nashua Telegraph about his involvement in finding the oldest known royal burial at a Mayan site.
He was working at the archaeological site of K'o part of the Holmul Archaeological Project.

The Maya Archaeology Initiative
The Maya Archaeology Initiative is a US-based not-for-profit organization working in Guatemala. It was founded in February 2010 by Dr Francisco Estrada-Belli and Clay Haswell. It's Mission:
1) educate local children about the Maya past and and local biodiversity.
2) support research on cultural and natural resources Maya Biosphere Reserve (Melchor de Mencos, Guatemala)
3) preserve the biodiversity of the Maya Biosphere Reserve in and around archaeological sites (Holmul/Cival)
